Berry Blip

I really like salad. It comes in all different varieties depending on the dressing you choose and what you decide to put in it. Heck, you can put anything in a salad and call it good, whether it's chicken, fruit, tortilla chips, whatever. Of course I'm overgeneralizing here, but you get my point. Then there's the dressing. You can go as basic as ranch or italian, or try some vinaigrettes or even top it off with bleu cheese. You can turn a side dish into a work of art. Contrasting flavors, rich colors, and of course, the perfect dressing to complement it all. I decided to make a berry salad that had lettuce, walnuts, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Dressing? Raspberry vinaigrette. It's like a cross between fruit and veggie salads I guess. Here are some pictures:

Delicious-looking right?

  1. Fruit with lettuce seems too advanced for my current palate. I will reevaluate once I am at your level.

  2. Sounds like a plan. I'd recommend you try it, though. I was hesitant too at first, I thought it was weird to mix lettuce with fruit, but it's really good.
