Love Letter

Dear Eternal Musing,

My darling, I have so many wonderful things to muse to you about. So many wonderful things, yet I haven't the time to write them out...my university classes have been hard on me.
After much thought, I regret to say I must leave you for a while. Please do not blame yourself, dearest. I love you, and I will never abandon you. Business calls.
I promise to remain faithful to you in this time. I will be back around April the twenty-fifth.
In the meantime, my good friend Guest Blogger will care for you and make sure you are well posted.
I will miss you greatly, and I hope to see you soon.

I Need You All To Run AMOK

Hey everyone! An organization called Random Acts is running it's first official Annual Melee of Kindness (AMOK) campaign. Their goal is to have as many people as possible going around and doing random acts of kindness to other people. This years AMOK is on March 4, 2012! You can do anything you want to be nice to others; buy someone some coffee, help someone with their groceries, hand out flowers; be creative! {Leave someone a happy note on their car or pass out positive notes in a public place, to name a couple that I might be participating in.}

If you're interested in this event, here's the AMOK homepage, and here are the guidelines. I hope you choose to run AMOK with us! It'll be fun and you'll put a smile on some people's faces, I'm sure!

Breakout Early Release!

Hey there!

I know I said I was going to release Breakout at the end of last week, and I apologize for the delay. It is the holiday season after all. I'm getting lazy...

Anyway, if you're interested, you can go on ahead and read a few chapters of the beginning, all totally new, if I may add. If you've read Luke before, you know sort of what will happen, but now I've provided a background to the tale and Luke now has a brother named Zach. As soon as I connect the background story to the part I wrote initially, I'll publish the page, but for now, you can view it on the site below. Happy reading!

Luke Update!

Hello there,

I've been busy studying for finals, so I apologize for the lack of posting lately. The things finals do to your brain...

Anyway, I bring you a Monday Musing (it's probably under this post) and I was hoping to give you a nice long Luke update with two installments to compensate for the lack of them, but I couldn't get it all done. However, I did put up Installment Four. It's not as exciting or as long as I would've liked, but I hope you enjoy it!

-EDIT- Due to many reasons, the Luke page will be down for the next week or so. I need to make some major changes to the beginning due to its tackiness and some awkwardly worded sentences. When it returns, it will officially be called Breakout and it will be much, much better...there will be deeper connections and more character background to make the story more down-to-earth. If you've read the story (which I'm sure only a few have), I suggest you read it again when the story is posted. If you have not read it yet, I hope you will someday!

Here is a brief synopsis:


When Luke, his brother, and a group of his friends commit a petty crime, he finds himself in the middle of a prison break in. With mysterious serums, mindless robots, and a dystopian world where everything has to be pristine, it's up to Luke to free his brother and, with luck, the rest of the boys.

Do Me A Favor?

Hey everyone, I'd just like to take a moment and thank you all for your support! I've reached about 2,000 views this past month with traffic coming in every day from all over the world.

I want to get an opinion from you lovely people, so I've posted a poll on the left side of the page with a quick question: What do you want to see more of on Eternal Musing? You can choose multiple answers if you can't decide what you like most, but please try to limit your answers to two or three so I can get a better idea on what I should post more of. The poll closes on December 6th at 12pm! I'm really curious about what kind of things people like to see on this site, and any advice you may have is appreciated.

Monday Musings

From this Monday onward, I'm going to put up a quote or thought to ponder and just get your week rolling. Also because I like the phrase Monday Musings.

Today's muse: Phonics, which is by definition, a method of teaching people to read by correlating sounds with letters, is not spelled the way it sounds.

Upgrade!

Exciting news: I decided to take blogging more seriously and finally bought a domain for my site! Instead of the typical .blogspot insert, my site is now www.eternalmusing.com. If you log in to the original one (aimless-reverie), it'll redirect you to this domain.


Anyways, with new priorities comes a need for more information. I needed to consult the experts in the field of blogging and came across one particular one that inspired me to go through this: Blogging Bookshelf. This site has everything you need to know about blogging and anything you might like to change in your blog to increase traffic, have people commenting on your posts, and become well-known in the blogosphere. Now I don't typically blog about blogging because it's out of my niche and I'm fairly new to it myself, but I felt the need to credit Tristan, the creator of the site, for his insights and aspirations that gave me that push to take blogging to the next level.

In the next few weeks, I'll be tweaking up my blog a bit here and there like changing formats and making it more individual (instead of a blogger template) to my style. If you regularly follow my posts, thank you so much for your support, I wouldn't have gotten to this point without you.

New Page!

Remember the post about the spider and my mind-troll? If you don't, you can see it right here. Well I said that you'd find out why I'm blogging about spiders, and why on earth I would browse through hundreds of pictures of spiders when I clearly am terrified of them.

Now you can! Check out "Shyness Thrown Out of a Canoe", a story about my journey down a narrow river in a canoe with one of my friends, and how that changed me a bit. Don't worry it's more story than moral and I think you may find it entertaining. The font gets smaller towards the middle and I couldn't change it for the life of me. I apologize for that in advance and I hope you enjoy it!
